Kenny was born in Ipoh. He studied architecture at the University of Bath from 1995 to 2001. He obtained his Master of Architecture (RIBA II) in 2001 and in 2004 obtained a Post Grad Dip Architecture (RIBA III) from University of Kingston and obtained the Royal Institute of British Architects Charteredship in 2004. During his study, he worked for TR Hamzah Yeang where he was involved in the National Library of Singapore. After graduating with MA in architecture from University of Bath, he worked for IDOM UK, a Spanish based multi-disciplinary practice in London and Spain from 2001 until 2005. He was involved in the mixed-use residential development in Bermondsey, London and the concept design for the Hospital of Harbin Medical University in North-East China. Other works include the First prize winning competition for the Waterford Waterfront, Ireland, ID fitout design for Banco Santander, Madrid. In 2005, he joined London based Arup Associates. He was involved in several landmark projects, including the award-winning data centre project for Citigroup in Frankfurt, Germany and the Ropemaker Place, a LEED certified Class A office development for British Land in the City of London. 
After returning to Malaysia in 2011, Kenny gained his LAM qualification, the Malaysian Professional Architect Board in 2014 and formed A3 PROJECTS (formerly known Arch Cubic) with his partner, Ar Ho Choon Sin. He is currently also part of the teaching team running an urban design studio at Taylor’s University, Subang Jaya.

Sin spent the first 6 years of her career working for PRP Architects in London, UK as a Design Architect where she worked on masterplanning and mixed-use residential development. She then further her career by joining Dyer Associates, UK where she developed her expertise in educational projects such as state-funded Higher Education colleges and schools. She was one of the key project architects working for a well-established award-winning developer, Countryside Properties UK that specialises in developing sustainable communities and township development. She moved back to Malaysia in 2011 and worked as a freelance architect before setting up her own practice known as Arch Cubic in 2012. She joined Kenny and formed A3 Project Sdn Bhd in 2013.
